The firm’s Litigation practice features a team of experienced, strategy-oriented, and highly skilled attorneys who have successfully represented corporations and individuals in a range of contested matters in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels, as well as in administrative, bankruptcy, and regulatory proceedings.  The Litigation practice is broad-based, covering a range of industries and substantive practice areas including, among others: administrative law, anti-corruption, antitrust, civil fraud defense, class action defense, commercial contract disputes, financial, First Amendment, government contracts/bid protests, insurance claims, intellectual property, labor and employment, securities, telecommunications, and white collar criminal defense.

Attorneys in the Litigation group also assist clients with complex internal investigations, government inquiries, and enforcement actions initiated by a variety of federal agencies, self-regulatory organizations, and state attorneys general and securities regulators.  Our investigation expertise includes allegations of violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, fraud, illegal and deceptive trade practices, securities law violations, and mismanagement.  In addition, our litigators regularly represent clients in arbitrations and mediations.

Our attorneys have litigated at prominent national firms and, in several cases, occupied high-level positions at federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Several have federal judicial clerkship experience.

When a case the firm has handled at the trial level goes up on appeal, our Litigation team works closely with attorneys in our Appellate and Critical Motions practice area, giving clients the advantage of trial counsel’s familiarity with the case and the firm’s appellate expertise.
