Potomac Law Group Partner Roberta Anderson Sutton Named Insurance Law Trailblazer by The National Law Journal

Potomac Law Group is pleased to announce that Partner and Insurance Recovery and Risk Management Practice Leader Roberta Anderson Sutton has been named a Trailblazer in Insurance Law by the National Law Journal. Roberta is among 22 lawyers selected nationwide by the National Law Journal for inclusion as part its 2021 inaugural list of Insurance Law Trailblazers, which recognizes and spotlights a select group of lawyers who have “made sweeping efforts to make a positive contribution” as “agents of change” in the insurance industry.

The National Law Journal recognizes the contributions that Roberta has made in developing cyber insurance as a product since its inception and in assisting clients to make outcome-determinative changes and coverage enhancements to off-the-shelf insurance policies. Roberta noted in her interview that “[y]ou can make outcome-determinative policy enhancements if you know what to look for, which is what I do on a daily basis.”

Roberta received her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she achieved the Faculty Award For Excellence In Legal Scholarship. Concentrating her practice in the areas of insurance recovery, risk management counseling, and emerging cybersecurity, privacy, and data protection-related issues, Roberta has assisted clients in recovering hundreds of millions in insurance assets and counsels clients proactively on complex insurance placement and risk management issues. She is delighted to have coauthored the cybersecurity guide for executives, Navigating the Digital Age: The Definitive Cybersecurity Guide For Directors and Officers.
