PLG is pleased to welcome Bruce Friedman as partner in the firm’s Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions and Technology Transactions practice groups. Bruce brings decades of experience as a trusted legal advisor and business strategist.

His diverse background spans big law, in-house counsel roles, entrepreneurial solo practice, and executive positions in the international shipping industry, which gives him a unique perspective that bridges legal precision with business practicality. Bruce possesses a unique ability to communicate complex ideas in understandable, engaging spoken and written language. His sound business judgment enables him to quickly respond to cases of first impression and manage competing priorities in fast-moving environments to meet and exceed the strategic goals of clients. Bruce believes that a key to his practice is his ability to enable clients to maximize opportunity and rationally minimize risk. 

Bruce’s corporate/commercial practice areas include mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private offerings, supply chain/outsourcing, distribution, credit facilities, corporate governance, and human resources. His technology/IP practice areas include SaaS and PaaS, AI (including machine vision and learning), IoT (internet of things), e-commerce, cloud-based transactions, mobile platforms, digital marketing, software and hardware and technology development, transfer, and licensing. 

Bruce’s clients include elite domestic and international clients of all sizes and at all stages in a wide variety of industries that include technology, industrial and consumer products, manufacturing, higher education, building materials, logistics, food and beverage, health and well-being, and sports and entertainment. 

Prior to joining PLG, Bruce was a partner with Outside General Counsel, LLP. Preceding Bruce’s legal career, he was an operations and marketing executive in the international shipping industry. Bruce worked with an affiliated group of air and ocean foreign freight forwarders, air freight consolidators, NVOCCs (ocean freight consolidators), slot charterers and customs house brokers.  

Bruce received his J.D. from University of Southern California School of Law and was a magna cum laude graduate of Boston University Questrom School of Business.
