Thomasina has served on national trial teams for leading pharmaceutical manufacturers and laboratories, managing fact and expert discovery, drafting dispositive motions and motions in limine, and assisting with trial preparation, openings, closings, and demonstratives. She works closely with expert witnesses across diverse scientific disciplines, including neurology, neurosurgery, epidemiology, genetics, pain management, and phlebotomy standards of care. Her work often involves analyzing pharmaceutical labeling and risk disclosures, as well as coordinating defense strategy across multiple jurisdictions.

Beyond her trial practice, Thomasina counsels clients on insurance coverage and risk management. She advises companies and nonprofit organizations on the adequacy of their insurance portfolios, working with brokers and in-house teams to evaluate coverage, mitigate exposure, and implement strategies tailored to operational and industry-specific risks.

Representative Experience

  • Represents a leading national laboratory in complex litigation involving genetic testing and phlebotomy personal injury claims.
  • Oversees all phases of litigation, including initial pleadings, discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, and trial preparation, as well as overall case strategy and resolution.
  • Served on the national defense team for a major pharmaceutical manufacturer in multidistrict litigation alleging birth defect injuries related to an antiepileptic drug. Coordinated strategy and case management across numerous federal and state courts and supported five month-long trials nationwide.
  • Contributed to a trial team that secured a complete defense verdict in a personal injury case alleging a breach of the phlebotomy standard of care during a routine blood draw.
