We are pleased to announce that Bruce Wolstoncroft and Helen Odar Wolstoncroft have joined the Pennsylvania office of Potomac Law as Partners in the Intellectual Property practice group. 


Bruce Wolstoncroft is an experienced intellectual property attorney with more than 30 years of corporate and law firm experience. He focuses his practice on all aspects of intellectual property including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights.  

Mr. Wolstoncroft has worked with start-ups and international corporations to help develop appropriate intellectual property strategies and portfolios to benefit the organizations. A registered patent attorney, Mr. Wolstoncroft negotiates and drafts all types of intellectual property agreements including joint development agreements, license agreements, settlement agreements, dispute resolution agreements, and co-existence agreements. 

Mr. Wolstoncroft received his J.D. from University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his B.S. from Carnegie-Mellon University. Prior to joining Potomac Law, he was a Partner and Chair of the Intellectual Property Group at Saxton & Stump and previously served in leadership and practice chair positions at two other law firms headquartered in Pennsylvania.

Helen Odar Wolstoncroft brings extensive experience in intellectual property, including preparation and prosecution, counseling, licensing and other corporate transactions as well as litigation. Throughout her career, Ms. Wolstoncroft has worked in all aspects of intellectual property law, including copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets and patents.  

Prior to joining Potomac Law Group, she was Senior Counsel at Saxton & Stump and earlier in her career practiced intellectual property law at Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago. She also worked as an intellectual property attorney for two large multinational corporations and began her career as a Patent Examiner in the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office in Washington, D.C.   

Ms. Wolstoncroft received her J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law and her B.S.Ch.E. from the University of Notre Dame.
