Attorney Intel Names Tim Lundgren to The Top 25 Attorneys of Michigan for 2024 List

Potomac Law is pleased to announce that Tim Lundgren is named among The Top 25 Attorneys of Michigan for 2024.

The selection was based on a review of the most experienced and accomplished lawyers across Michigan serving as law firm partners, general counsel, or in other executive capacities. Attorney Intel evaluated career track records, longevity in the industry, caliber of institutions at which they work, and professional milestones achieved, among other factors, according to Attorney Intel.

Based in Lansing, Dr. Lundgren’s practice focuses on energy and environmental law, where he represents developers and lenders as Michigan counsel on the development of energy generation projects and also represents clients before the Michigan Public Service Commission, including energy suppliers and marketers, independent power producers, manufacturers, agricultural processors, public entities and institutions, and trade associations representing competitive power supply and business interests. He also advises clients on developments in energy law and policy in Michigan and assists them in the development of legislative proposals.

In the environmental arena, Dr. Lundgren works on natural resource development and environmental permitting matters, including permitting for mineral extraction and large energy developments. He has done extensive work on matters related to water quality and water supply and use, including discharge permitting, storm water compliance, and water withdrawal. He has assisted clients on permitting and compliance matters on wetlands, inland waterways, and on the Great Lakes, including spill response efforts. He has considerable experience addressing site remediation and cleanup at client-owned sites as well as negotiating with state and federal regulatory agencies and advising clients at multi-PRP sites.

Dr. Lundgren received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, his Ph.D from The Ohio State University, his M.A. from the University of Colorado, Boulder and his B.A. from Hope College.He was named Layer of the Year in Energy Law and Energy Regulatory Law in 2023 and in Water Law in 2015 and 2021, as well as recognition in Administrative/Regulatory Law.
