Larysa M. Kautz is a Counsel in the firm’s Nonprofit and Tax Exemption Organizations, Corporate, and General Counsel Services practice groups.  She counsels nonprofit organizations with respect to all aspects of their operations, including governance, risk management, compliance, contract negotiations, lobbying & political activities, joint ventures, fiscal sponsorships, tax, real estate partnerships, UBTI issues, donation policies and agreements, social media policies, employment, insurance, intellectual property, and other matters.  She has managed legal, compliance and regulatory oversight for the administration and operation of over 60 federal contracts and social service programs.

Ms. Kautz has served as outside general counsel and special counsel for national tax-exempt organizations such as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the American Heart Association, and the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

  • Oversaw and managed labor, insurance, safety and risk management functions for company with over 1600 employees
