Kathleen M. Hemmerdinger is a paralegal in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group working on trademark matters. Ms. Hemmerdinger has over 20 years of experience in the trademark field, specializing in all areas of domestic and foreign trademark prosecution, including conducting and reviewing clearance searches, preparing and filing trademark applications, office action responses, and statements of use and maintenance and renewal filings. Ms. Hemmerdinger regularly communicates with foreign counsel regarding prosecution and maintenance of client’s foreign trademarks.

Ms. Hemmerdinger is experienced in the area of trademark enforcement, which includes reviewing watch notices, conducting investigations on potential infringements and preparation of warning and demand letters.  Ms. Hemmerdinger also assists in opposition and cancellation proceedings filed before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
