PLG helps companies navigate the fast-evolving landscape of organic, natural, and clean-label products, including full compliance with the USDA’s National Organic Program (NOP). We partner with brands, growers, manufacturers, and certifiers to manage regulatory risk, support certification, and keep products moving to market.

We advise clients across the organic supply chain on:

  • National Organic Program compliance. We guide operations through production, handling, labeling, and supply-chain requirements and help resolve certification challenges, including notices of non-compliance, proposed suspensions, and appeals.
  • Labeling, claims, and marketing. We review “organic,” “natural,” “sustainable,” and related claims to ensure alignment with NOP, FDA, FTC, and state laws, and help clients build substantiated, defensible marketing strategies.
  • Product development and quality systems. From formulation and classification to manufacturing, SOPs, and cGMP compliance, we support clients across the entire product lifecycle.
  • Enforcement and litigation. We represent clients in investigations, class actions, and disputes involving organic claims, certification issues, and NOP enforcement.

Our team brings together deep regulatory experience and industry insight, led by partner Angela Diesch, who focuses on the natural and organic sectors across cosmetics, foods, dietary supplements, OTC drugs, and consumer products. Angela’s practice spans product development, claims review, manufacturing and supply-chain agreements, and defending clients before federal and state regulators, certifiers, and in private litigation.

This combined regulatory and litigation experience allows us to offer clear, business-forward advice that helps clients avoid compliance pitfalls and respond quickly when issues arise.
