We are pleased to announce that Gabriela I. Coman has joined the firm as a Partner in our Patent practice group.

Partner Gabriela Coman counsels clients in the strategic development of complex patent assets in the areas of biotechnology, chemicals, and semiconductors.  She assists clients with prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications, and intellectual property valuation and opinions on patentability, validity, and infringement issues.  Ms. Coman manages patent portfolios across a variety of enterprises including biomedical devices, surgical instruments and procedures, nanotechnology, chemical synthesis and purification, polymer chemistry, catalytic conversion, semiconductors, and pharmaceutical compositions and treatments.

Ms. Coman's clients include universities and research institutions, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, custom catalyst developers and national providers of health care services, as well as small corporations and independent inventors.  Ms. Coman completed the Global Executive Leadership Program from the Yale School of Management in 2017.  Before entering law school, Ms. Coman attended medical school.

Ms. Coman earned her B.A. summa cum laude from the Baruch College of the City University of New York, in 1996.  She earned her J.D. in 1999 from the Brooklyn Law School where she was the Notes and Comments Editor for the Brooklyn Law Review.
