PLG Partner Ayesha Khan Publishes “In Brief: A Newsletter about an Appellate & Critical Motions Practice” 

This is the time of year to recap the excitement of the U.S. Supreme Court’s past term and to anticipate a certain Monday in October.  The First Amendment was front-and-center during the 2016 term, with the Court generally disfavoring governmental restrictions.  The term was a good one for commercial clients, who will now face less litigation from both patent holders and and out-of-state plaintiffs.  Municipal clients, however, didn’t quite fare as well, though there were some positive outcomes for them, too.
