Cassandra Porsch was quoted in a New York Law Journal article entitled "New York’s Commercial Division Creates New Procedure for Amicus Briefs."

The New York State Unified Court System approved a new rule allowing non-parties to submit friend-of-the-court briefs in cases before the Commercial Division.

Porsch explains that the rule may be counterproductive, commenting, “We had concerns that given overburdened judicial dockets and high litigation costs, allowing non-party briefing on matters would further slow down decision time and increase attorneys’ fees burdens for litigants.”
