Because of the split control between Republicans, who hold the White House and the Senate, and the Democrats, who hold the House, it is unlikely that major changes to the tax code will advance in the 116th Congress, which convenes in January 2019.  It is possible, however, that some taxinitiatives will be considered if they are targeted and are able to win bipartisan support, such as infrastructure legislation.
