As Deputy General Counsel of a publicly traded intellectual property, online content, and professional services company, Ms. Sossamon previously served as the lead legal executive for a $750m+ global business segment.


Outsourced General Counsel Services

  • Lead all legal support for $750m+ global business segment including commercial contracting, M&A, corporate strategy, entity management, employment/HR, finance, real estate, and marketing.
  • Coordinate acquisition and corporate restructure of 30 subsidiaries in 17 countries during and following transformative acquisition, including supervise legal integration issues, manage corporate entities, and execute global rebrand.
  • Counsel a wide variety of businesses on M&A, capital raises, contracts, licensing, intellectual property, joint ventures, partnerships, business operations, dispute resolution, employment, and human resources.
  • Select, supervise, and manage outside counsel across multiple global jurisdictions.

Business Transactions

  • Lead all tactical and strategic domestic and international commercial contracting across 11 global offices and 30 countries and close $750m+ annually in revenue.
  • Provide strategic guidance on new businesses, products, and services, structure and negotiate business transactions and partnerships, and protect and license intellectual property, technology, and brand assets.
  • Structure, draft, and negotiate domestic and international intellectual property licensing arrangements, joint ventures, partnerships, and investments.
  • Structure, draft, and negotiate high-volume of complex commercial contracts, including sales, advertising, marketing, software, consulting, and vendor agreements.
  • Lead large scale and global due diligence review for simultaneous acquisitions in multiple countries, including coordinate internal and external working groups, distill findings, and assess risks.
